Check Valves

Globe Valves

Rising stem design (OS&Y) with T, Y, and angle body patterns for precise flow throttling and control. Body material: carbon steel (ASTM A216 WCB) and stainless steel (ASTM A351 CF8M / A182 F316). Pressure classes: ASME 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500. Forged body (ASTM A105N / A182 F316L) available in Class 800 and 1500 for socket weld and threaded ends. Trims to ASME B16.34. Preferred for steam control, pump bypass, cooling water regulation, and process gas throttling where accurate flow regulation and tight shutoff are both required.

Rule of thumb: use a ball valve for on/off isolation where speed of operation matters; use a gate valve for large-bore pipelines where flow resistance must be minimised and frequent operation is not needed; use a globe valve wherever you need to regulate, throttle, or control flow. Never throttle a gate or ball valve — partial opening causes wire-drawing erosion that destroys the seat and disc. For sour service under NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156, valve body and internals must comply with hardness limits — maximum 22 HRC for carbon steel and 28 HRC for duplex stainless steel. What is the lead time for large-bore valves (NPS 12 and above)?

In-stock valves across all sizes ship same-day (orders received before 14:00 AST). For large-bore items (NPS 12 and above) not in stock, lead time is typically 4–12 weeks ex-works for carbon steel API 600 gate valves and trunnion ball valves depending on manufacturer scheduling. We confirm exact stock status and lead times in your 4-hour quotation response.

What third-party inspection options are available?

Gulf Union Ozone coordinates TPI through approved inspection bodies — SGS, Bureau Veritas (BV), and Lloyd's Register — at the origin manufacturing facility or at our Jeddah warehouse. Hydrostatic pressure tests per API 598, dimensional inspection, hardness testing, and PMI (positive material identification) can all be arranged. TPI scope and cost are confirmed in your quotation.
