Gulf Union Ozone is a Saudi Arabia-based stockist of ASTM A234 WPB carbon steel butt weld pipe fittings — the most widely specified carbon steel fitting grade for Saudi Aramco and major oil, gas, and petrochemical projects in the Kingdom. Our Jeddah warehouse holds the complete ASME B16.9 range: 90° long radius and short radius elbows, 45° elbows, equal tees, reducing tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, and end caps. All fittings include EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificates from the original mill for SAEP-347 project documentation.

ASTM A234 covers wrought carbon and alloy steel pipe fittings for pressure piping service. Grade WPB (Wrought Pipe B) is the default carbon steel grade — manufactured by forging, extrusion, seamless rolling, or from welded pipe. ASTM A234 WPB covers the temperature range −29°C to 538°C, making it suitable for the full range of oil and gas process piping conditions encountered in Saudi Arabia.
Under ASME B16.9, ASTM A234 WPB fittings must match the pressure rating of the pipe they are welded to — a fitting of the same schedule as the adjoining pipe provides equal or greater burst pressure. This is the fundamental advantage of butt weld fittings over threaded connections for high-pressure process piping.
ASTM A234 WPB covers butt weld fittings manufactured from wrought pipe or plate — used for large-bore piping (NPS 2″ and above) where butt welding is the standard connection method. ASTM A105 covers forged fittings (socket weld and threaded) for small-bore piping. Both grades are SAEP-347 compatible and are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 MTCs by Gulf Union Ozone. Every ASTM A234 WPB order includes EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificates — heat number, actual chemical analysis, mechanical test results, and 3.1 inspector signature from the original mill. Required for Saudi Aramco SAEP-347 Goods Receipt.
EN 10204 3.1 vs 3.2 explained →ASTM A234 WPB is the standard for carbon steel wrought butt-weld pipe fittings — elbows, tees, reducers, and caps — manufactured to ASME B16.9 dimensional standards. WPB (Wrought Plain material Butt-weld) designates carbon steel with a tensile strength minimum of 60,000 psi and yield strength of 35,000 psi. The normalized variant (WPB-N) is required under ASME B31.3 and Saudi Aramco SAES-L-108 for fittings above Schedule 80 in high-pressure and high-temperature piping service. EN 10204 3.1 material traceability is mandatory for all SAEP-347 butt-weld fitting line items.
Gulf Union Ozone stocks the complete ASME B16.9 range of ASTM A234 WPB butt weld carbon steel pipe fittings in Jeddah. All sizes from NPS ½″ to 24″, standard and extra heavy wall schedules.

ASTM A234 WPB butt-weld fittings are available in six primary configurations: 90° long-radius elbows (LR, most common; sweep radius = 1.5 × NPS), 45° elbows, equal tees, reducing tees, concentric reducers, and eccentric reducers. Short-radius (SR) elbows with 1.0 × NPS radius are available for space-constrained installations. Caps and stub ends for lap-joint flanged connections are also A234 WPB. All configurations are produced to ASME B16.9 tolerances and wall thickness schedules from SCH 10 through XXS.
