The most chemically inert packing material — resistant to virtually all acids, alkalis, solvents, and oxidising agents (pH 0–14). Suitable for pump stuffing boxes, valve stems, and agitator shafts handling water, chemicals, foodstuffs, and pharmaceutical fluids at temperatures up to 260°C. Carbon fibre braided packing with expanded graphite impregnation — the preferred choice for high-shaft-speed rotating equipment where minimal shaft wear and low leakage are critical. Carbon/graphite packing offers exceptional thermal conductivity (reducing stuffing-box temperature), excellent lubricity, and resistance to steam, hydrocarbons, and high-temperature process fluids up to 450°C. Frequently specified for boiler feed pumps, high-pressure process pumps, and compressor rod packings at power generation and oil refinery sites in Saudi Arabia. Available in cross-sections 6mm–30mm.
