It is chemically inert, non-toxic, temperature resistant from −200°C to +260°C, and compatible with virtually all fluids and gases. Applied by wrapping the tape clockwise around the male thread before assembly to fill the thread gap and prevent leaks.

How do you apply Teflon thread tape correctly?
Clean the male threads and ensure they are dry. Start wrapping the PTFE tape at the first thread away from the pipe end, pulling the tape taut so it seats into the threads. Wrap clockwise (when viewing the thread end face-on) so the tape does not unwrap when the fitting is tightened. Apply 2–3 wraps for water connections, 3–4 wraps for gas connections, and up to 5 wraps for high-pressure or fine-thread applications. The tape should be pressed firmly into the threads, not left loose.
Is PTFE tape suitable for gas connections in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. PTFE thread seal tape is approved for use on gas pipe connections including LPG, natural gas, and compressed air where it meets the system specification.
