SAES-A-007 (Corrosion Control) requires duplex 2205 (S31803) when chloride concentration in produced water exceeds threshold levels, H₂S is present, or temperatures are elevated — conditions common in deep Aramco reservoirs. Duplex 2205 resists chloride stress corrosion cracking (Cl-SCC) and pitting at PREN ≈35.
