How does M-Seal epoxy putty work?
M-Seal AS-007 consists of two parts: a base epoxy resin and a hardener, supplied as concentric cylinders or separate sticks. Cut or tear equal lengths, knead the two parts together for about 3–4 minutes until the colour is completely uniform with no streaks. Press and mould the mixed putty firmly onto the clean repair area. Working time is approximately 5 minutes; the putty hardens completely in 24 hours. It adheres to metal, concrete, PVC, and most rigid surfaces and can be applied to damp surfaces for pipe leak repair.
Can M-Seal be used on wet pipes?
Yes, M-Seal AS-007 epoxy putty can be applied to wet, damp, or underwater surfaces, making it suitable for emergency pipe repair without draining the system. Dry the area as much as possible before application for best adhesion, but it will still bond and seal on damp metal. Once cured, the repaired area is water-tight and can withstand water pressure for permanent repairs.
