How do you use ABRO epoxy steel (EP10SR)?
Cut or squeeze equal amounts of the two epoxy components onto a clean surface. Knead or mix thoroughly for 60 seconds until the colour is uniform. Apply the mixed epoxy to the clean, dry repair area and shape as needed. It begins to set in approximately 4 minutes and reaches handling strength in 15–20 minutes. Full cure and maximum strength is achieved after 60 minutes at room temperature. After full cure, the hardened epoxy can be drilled, sanded, filed, and painted.
What metals does ABRO epoxy bond to?
ABRO Kwik-Set Epoxy Steel bonds to steel, iron, aluminium, copper, brass, and most metals. It also adheres to ceramics, concrete, glass, wood, and rigid plastics. Surface preparation is critical: clean the bonding area with a degreaser or MEK, roughen with coarse sandpaper (80-grit), and ensure the surface is dry before applying the epoxy. Oil-contaminated surfaces will prevent proper adhesion.
