How do I attach a grease gun to a Zerk fitting?
Push the grease gun coupler head straight onto the Zerk nipple at 90 degrees to the nipple axis. Apply firm pressure — the coupler spring jaws will snap onto the nipple ball head and lock. Pump the grease gun to inject grease. To remove, rock the coupler slightly while pulling back to release the spring jaw from the nipple.

Grease gun coupler leaks are caused by: worn coupler jaws that no longer seal on the Zerk nipple, a blocked Zerk nipple (clean or replace it), or excessive back-pressure from a blocked grease passageway. Replace the coupler head if the jaw springs are worn. If the Zerk nipple itself is blocked, replace the Zerk fitting.
