How do I fit a battery terminal clamp to a battery cable?
To fit a copper plate battery terminal clamp to a battery cable: strip 15–20mm of insulation from the cable end. Insert the stripped wire into the terminal's cable hole and tighten the bolt-type clamping screw until the wire is firmly gripped (do not over-tighten or deform the cable strands). Connect positive (+) terminal to the battery positive post and negative (−) to the negative post. Always connect the positive cable first and disconnect the negative cable first when replacing a battery. Apply terminal grease or anti-corrosion spray after connecting to prevent oxidation.
